Pro-Praxis Welcomes Joseph Washington as Vice President, Underwriting

Pro-Praxis, a program within Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Washington as Vice President of Underwriting. In this role,Washington will oversee one of the company’s “A+” rated programs and spearhead the development of new program business.

With 30 years of underwriting experience, Washington specializes in the property and casualty needs of the healthcare industry, with a strong focus on medical professional liability. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of healthcare risks, from individual practitioners to some of the nation’s largest teaching hospitals. Before joining Pro-Praxis, he served as an underwriting manager for a global insurer, leading its hospital professional liability portfolio.

Washington brings a deep understanding of risk assessment, market analysis, and tailored insurance solutions for a diverse range of healthcare businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Florida State University.
