Coastal Insurance Underwriters Names New Leadership
Coastal Insurance Underwriters (CIU), a program administrator specializing in designing, creating, and managing insurance products for a variety of business classes including condominium associations, homeowner associations and golf and country clubs, announced the appointment of two new presidents.
Chief Underwriting Officer Sim Bridges has been appointed president and will retain his role as chief underwriting officer. Bridges has been a valuable member of CIU’s team of commercial underwriters since 2009, leveraging diversified knowledge of many classes of risk to strengthen agency relationships.
Kim Bushong Petrillo has been appointed president and chief operating officer. Petrillo joined CIU in 2012, and for more than a decade has focused on business development, marketing, carrier and retail agent relationships, program implementation, and business system enhancements.
Both appointments became effective with the retirement of founder and long-time CIU President Chuck Bushong on November 1, 2023.
“I am honored to continue my journey with Coastal as president,” said Bridges. “Chuck Bushong was a wonderful leader, and I look forward to honoring his hard work by continuing to build the Coastal brand and team as we provide best-in-class service to our retail and carrier partners.”
“I am excited to continue investing in the future of Coastal as president and chief operating officer. I look forward to growing our strong reputation with carriers, agents, and partners,” said Petrillo.
